Out of a sea of choices of a theme song for this video, "Lacrimosa" chose me. It stood out from the rest as the perfect fit for my story.
The Requiem Mass in D minor by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart was composed in Vienna in 1791, during the last year of the composer’s life. ‘Lacrimosa’ is part of that Requiem Mass and reveals some of the deepest feelings of human beings and one of mankind’s biggest fears: Death.
Lacrimosa dies illa Qua resurget ex favilla Judicandus homo reus. Huic ergo parce, Deus: Pie Jesu Domine, Dona eis requiem. Amen. Sorrowful day, When rising from the dust, Guilty man to be judged. God have mercy, Compassionate Lord Jesus, grant them peace. Amen.
Neither a lofty degree of intelligence nor imagination, nor both together go to the making of genius.
Love, love, love, that is the soul of genius. ~ Woflgang Amadeus Mozart
