In January 2022 I made a New Years' resolution to begin a journey to a healthier and more beautiful me. For me, it was more about body image. Fitting into a smaller size. Developing lean muscle and just a stronger healthier body. When I started eating better and exercising I went from 155 lbs......
By June 2022 I was down to 135 lbs! I went down 2 sizes while toning my whole body. I am way more confident about how my arms, abdominals, glutes, and legs look. I now feel comfortable putting on a bathing suit. A better healthier lifestyle was just what I needed.
I felt so insecure and inadequate for so long. I am so grateful to my mother for taking me to Planet Fitness with her and assisting me with putting together a healthy diet with food options that I felt happy and satisfied with. Honestly, I thought I would stray from the diet and indulge in cake, pizza, and fried chicken. With determination, I have finally become comfortable in my own skin. I have surprised myself with how far I have come in 6 months on my journey to wellness. I am proud of my progress and determination to stick to my diet and exercise routine. My diet consists of healthy food options that have helped me lose weight, feel great, and have more energy. Sure I still partake in the good, tasty, and higher calorie foods but of course in moderation. Now that I am more physically fit than I have been in years I have more energy to get all that I need to be done day in, and day out. I started to notice in just 3 months how much progress I had gained from all of my efforts and discipline. My self-worth and self-esteem have remarkably improved. I feel so good about losing inches along with those extra pounds. My before and after pictures are proof of all my hard work. I am not a morning person, never was - but when I know I am heading to Planet Fitness I am happy and excited to go because I feel so good. Thank you Mom for introducing me to a healthier lifestyle that is conducive to a new beautiful me. Oh, one last thing that I almost forgot to mention is that dairy-free and plant-based alternatives can be great to add to your new healthy diet.
